IU and SUGA’s “eight” has been certified Gaon Platinum for over 100 million streams
In April 2018, Gaon introduced music recording certifications for albums, downloads and streaming.
Streaming certifications are awarded to songs based on online data provided by web-based music providers. Albums and songs released on or after January 1, 2018 are eligible for certification.
Eight (Prod. & Feat. SUGA of BTS) achieves its first Gaon Platinum certification, in little over 6 months (190 days), after reaching 100,000,000 streams!
This wonderful collaboration between the “King and Queen of the Music Industry” as dubbed by K-Media, is also nominated for Song of The Year and Best Collaboration at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
